Executive Director - The Board of Directors of Family Violence Rape Crisis Services (FVRC) is seeking a dedicated, experienced Executive Director to lead the agency in fulfilling its mission of “promoting peaceful relationships, building safe homes and communities, and empowering individuals and families to heal from domestic and sexual violence.”
The successful candidate will have previous management, human resources and administrative experience, preferably with a non-profit agency; a demonstrated record of community-based outreach, and successful experience in grant writing and raising funds. Excellent organizational development, interpersonal, communication and personnel management skills are essential.
This position requires a working knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault issues and policies, strong fiscal management skills, as well as excellent speaking, writing, marketing, and public relations skills. This candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to oversee a complex budget and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with the board of directors, agency staff, volunteers and agency funding sources.
The Executive Director of FVRC is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the agency, commensurate with the authority conferred by the Board of Directors and consistent with its expressed mission and policies. This position works diligently to further the effectiveness of all aspects of the agency. Location: Chatham County, North Carolina, part of the Triangle area.
A Masters degree is preferred, however candidates possessing equivalent education and experience may still be considered.
